In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Apparently, I have been writing songs since I was a toddler. My cousins would tell the story of how I would not stop humming a melody I created as we were walking to the store. Though annoyed by my unwillingness to stop, they saw my potential. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beyoncé, RENAISSANCE Michael Jackson, Thriller I strongly believe that the production of Thriller is unmatched and I am willing to die on that hill. Rated was the first album I've probably ever purchased and had 7th-grade me in a chokehold. Renaissance is my current drug, and I can't shake it. Tell us why you chose this song. “Fake Celeb” What I love so much about 'Fake Celeb' is the liberation it brings me. Written during a time of a global pandemic, I found myself reclaiming my joy in its escapism. Fake Celeb the Queer Anthem I believe my Sag sun and moon and Leo rising needed. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable moment thus far has to be releasing Fake Celeb. No matter how much prep work I did, I was deeply anxious. I could not sleep. I was elated when people started telling me how much they loved it. So much of my DNA went into that one. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I am so new to music that everything is on my bucket list. I want to be an EGOT. I want to perform a stadium tour. I want to push boundaries. I want to pave way for people who are not sonically mainstream and have been denied access to their dreams.
