In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Listening to my Dads vinyl collection in the 1990s and watching the digital graphic equaliser lights flashing. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Arthur Verocai, Arthur Verocai Jorge Ben Jor, Jorge Ben: Samba Esquema Novo Stevie Wonder, Innervisions Remastered These albums all have that live, energetic studio sound from their era, and they feature some sounds that really speak to me. The arrangements are amazing and the level of musicianship is high. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Floral and Botanical Explorations” This song was just improvised piano with some added bits but people seem to like it which is cool as it shows how spontaneous music can be sometimes. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I think playing the London Jazz Cafe as the debut live show has to be a highlight as its for me the best venue in London and it marked a point in my music career where things really started to take off. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Some festival appearances being planned but i would say touring Japan and playing in New York would be the next big things to get ticked off the list.
