About Ray Jozwiak

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Maybe when my accordion strap broke at a gig, so I tied it together OR when our guitarist and saxophonist stretched out on their backs on the floor to render a love song OR when a young girl did a spontaneous 'interpretive' dance as I played solo. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? World Saxophone Quartet, Yes We Can (feat. Hamiet Bluiett, Kidd Jordan, James Carter & David Murray) I don't know many albums on Apple Music. Sorry. But I do love the World Saxophone Quartet. I will have to buy this one. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Pam's Song” I wrote this song for Pam, someone I met in college in 1976. It's really the first solid jazz composition (inspired by Pam with some Dexter Gordon influence) that I wrote. Now, over forty-five years later, Pam & I are still happily married. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I think this one, right now, is pretty good, being able to offer my music on platforms such as this for people to hear. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I don't like the concept of a bucket list at all. Let's just say we'll see where things take me.
