In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember being into hip hop music with explicit lyrics. I wanted to buy the records so I made the trek to a record shop downtown. When I brought them to the counter, the clerk said I was too young. I was heartbroken, but then he said: just joking. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bicep, Bicep Daft Punk, Homework Ministry, The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste I've always loved a mixture of hard edged sounds combined with dance rhythms. Ministry captured that energy perfectly on this album. Daft Punk's Homework was a revelation of underground dance music. And Bicep rekindled my love for electronic music. Tell us why you chose this song. “We Are Together” I wanted to capture the energy of early raves where it was all about coming together, no matter who you were. I also wanted to pay homage to influences like Underworld and Primal Scream, but with a modern, tech house style that is inspiring me today. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Finally releasing my music baby to the world. It's been a journey, both inward and outward. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Simply to show people that love is greater than hate, they're not alone, and that they deserve a place in the world no matter who they are. And maybe make some bodies move and create moments of joy together along the way.
