Ralphy Dreamz

While bachata singer Ralphy Dreamz was born in New York, he grew up in thrall of the traditional Dominican music his parents would play around the house. He began to develop his own style, which chiefly consisted in adapting songs from other genres into bachata, showing a special predilection for staples of Regional Mexican music. His first album, La diferencia, was uploaded to streaming platforms in 2020. Dime que me amas (2021) featured some original material, while Te lo pido por favor (2022) was a collection of Juan Gabriel covers. Ralphy updated his influences for No me importa (2024), an album inspired by the corridos verdes subgenre, and other new trends of Regional Mexican that fused traditional and urban elements.
