A confident, streetwise, Tallahassee, Florida peer of the more melancholic and insular Lil Goat, the rapper Ralan Styles prolifically blends melodic trap and contemporary R&B. One of his earliest recordings, released in 2020, was a collaboration with Lil Goat on the mesmeric "Dancing with the Devil." A debut EP, Rising, appeared shortly afterwards, and Phase 2 and Tranquility both demonstrated his knack for creating inventive R&B. His debut album, 2021's Radiance, was an expansive set that featured G-Real, Itstheangxl, and GHXSTBOYY. The bouncy, piano sample-fueled "Fresh Off the Lot" was Styles' first single to blow up. Two more albums were issued in 2022 -- Pisyu and Tic Toxic -- before a game-changing viral track, "Baby Shark," achieved ten-million streams within weeks. A further run of singles led to OKAYYY, a 2024 collab with Lil Goat.
