In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a child music for me had a lot to do with dancing - the way rhythms and grooves influenced my body. I could feel the music, dance the music. Later on is was more like a whole new language with sentences and phrases with it's own poetry and logic. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Joe Henderson, So Near, So Far (Musings for Miles) Miles Davis, Kind of Blue Sonny Rollins, Saxophone Colossus Rudy Van Gelder Remaster Wonderful jazzmusic played by some of the greatest. Inspiring for me as an instrumentalist. I listened a lot to these albums as aspiring musician. The moods, the interplay, the rhytmic layors. And the imaginative soloing. Great to experience. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “8 March Anthem” An anthem for the womens right's celebration day. I like the open/free start that sets up a certain mood going into a more rhythmic pattern with reeds/flute on top. Then the energetic soloing on tenor and piano open drums and returning to start mood. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Receiving the honorary award as 'Band of the Year' dec. 2022 - Danish Music Awards Jazz. We were also on stage performing with my trio Bévort 3 that evening for a full concert hall. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Well - more concerts in Denmark, Scandinavia and Europe. And then also more new music to come, more album releases. I cannot stop it seems...
