Push Play

Long Island, New York, quartet Push Play is a group that combines the fresh-faced charm of boy bands with the guitar-driven emo and punk-pop-leaning sound of bands like Fall Out Boy. Combining buoyant melodies, uptempo rhythms, muscular guitars, and New Wave-inspired keyboards, Push Play built a local following (especially with pre-teen and young teenaged girls) with the help of their catchy songs, sleek commercial sound, and stylish looks. Favorable press and a staggering number of visits on MySpace heightened the band’s profile, setting the stage for the release of their debut album, DESERTED, in 2008.
