In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is playing a Michael Jackson song on piano, then reshaping its rhythm through a Persian musical sensibility. Hearing it take on a new identity fascinated me and led me toward composing. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bruno Mars, 24K Magic James Blunt, All the Lost Souls Michael Jackson, Thriller Thriller made me fall in love with music through its rhythm and imagination. All the Lost Souls moves me with its emotional honesty. 24K Magic inspires me with its precision, energy, and blend of classic songwriting and modern pop. Tell us why you chose this song. “Keep the Light” I have a special connection to it. for me, the song is about protecting warmth, connection, and hope during uncertain moments. Its meaning reaches beyond the season, which is why it still feels personal every time I return to it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? seeing a complete musical world become publicly available under my own name. Before release, it existed as ideas, lyrics, production decisions, revisions, and private listening. Seeing it become something other people could discover Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? to create a multidisciplinary experience in music. I would also like to develop a body of work that can move between intimate listening and large scale performance without losing its emotional clarity.
