About Pink Honey Moan
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My Mom rocked a minivan during the late 80's / early 90's, and I distinctly remember hearing Tears for Fears “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” on the car stereo. I loved it so much and I asked for Songs from the Big Chair for my next bday. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bill Withers, Still Bill Don Henley, The End of the Innocence Tears for Fears, Songs from the Big Chair I love the storytelling and songwriting in these albums. There's a message in the melody and all the songs really stand the test of time. I find myself going back to them during different phases of my life and they still feel as poignant as ever. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Your Voice” Your Voice is about finding strength in vulnerability. It's about giving a voice to those who may not have the ability to speak up and honoring those who have been silenced. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I played a solo acoustic set in my old high school lobby. Was scared to DEATH. So nervous. It couldn't have turned out more beautifully though; by the end, I had the who lobby of teens singing along! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to leave a body of musical work behind that my kids and grandkids can always come back to. I would love to collaborate with artists I respect and admire (too many to name here). And I will one day play Red Rocks. With Gratitude. In Music, J
