In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 3 years old my uncle who was a piano teacher called to ask if I wanted to learn how to play. I didn't care about piano but thought my uncle was cool and knew I would get to hang with him if I learned. Turns out I loved piano. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Glenn Gould, Glenn Gould: A State of Wonder - The Complete Goldberg Variations (1955 & 1981) Mulgrew Miller, Live at Yoshi's, Vol. 2 (feat. The Mulgrew Miller Trio) Radiohead, Hail to the Thief I have very diverse musical tastes. Rather than give examples of the influences to the music I'm creating as Piano Nicolo I thought I'd share some of favorite albums outside of the contemporary classical genre. Tell us why you chose this song. “Lamplight” Lamplight is the first song I produced as Piano Nicolo, so it's extra special to me. I am releasing one track every week so be sure to like/follow and check back for my latest release! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One day while I was practicing at a church and a man walked in and sat in the back. When I was done playing he was in tears. I know it might sound a bit corny but that was the day I realized how powerful music is and how it has the ability to heal. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to perform in some capacity at Carnegie Hall. I have many memories of hearing amazing piano concerts there.
