In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest truly memorable musical experiences is conducting an orchestra for the first time. When I gave the downbeat to this amazing collective of musicians and a magical sound emerged that I could actually shape, I was blown away. Berliner Philharmoniker, Claudio Abbado, Brahms: Symphony No. 4, Haydn Variations & Nänie Berliner Philharmoniker, Claudio Abbado, Mahler: Symphony No. 5 Glenn Gould, Glenn Gould: The Complete Bach Collection, Vol. 1 These are 3 of the greatest composers with some of the most beautiful music ever composed, performed by the greatest artists. Even though I've listened to them thousands of times, I'm still always swept away every time I listen to them. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Shrotavyasya (feat. ENSEMBLE / PARALLAX)” This is one of the most personal pieces I've ever composed at a mature stage of my career, displaying my finest craftsmanship, and performed beautifully by my group, ENSEMBLE / PARALLAX. It's one of the peaks of my career as a composer and conductor. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable moments in my musical career are concert tours throughout the Unites States and Europe, conducting my own and other composers' music that I love. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to conduct a large Mahler symphony, alongside one of my own pieces, with a major European orchestra.
