About Peter Vantine

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In the third grade, I attended a live concert of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The music and sound moved me emotionally and physically, to the point that I knew then and there what I wanted to do. Make music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Elmer Bernstein, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, To Kill a Mockingbird (Original Motion Picture Score) Glenn Gould, Bach: Goldberg Variations, BWV 988 (1981 Recording) Paul Halley, Angel On a Stone Wall I selected these three albums because they all feature the piano in unique settings. They also provide a sense of comfort to me when my day is not going so well. Incredible composers, musicians and music! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Light of All” I recorded this piece on my Bosendorfer grand piano, which was my favorite piano at the time. This piece started out as an experiment by recording four tracks: one at the low end, one mid, one upper, and one inside the piano . . . all improvised. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Scoring the silent film "Camille" for Turner Classic Movies was one of the most memorable moments of my career. Working with some of the best musicians and music technicians in the business proved to be an incredibly rewarding experience. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would like to present some of my music in a live setting with visual elements (lighting, video, etc.) that would completely immerse the audience in a multi-sensory experience.
