About Peter Bjorn and John
Since 1999, the prolific Swedish indie rockers Peter Bjorn and John have released almost 20 LPs and EPs as a group, crafted over a dozen solo albums, and produced myriad other artists. ∙ Peter Bjorn and John’s whistle-hooked breakout single, 2006’s “Young Folks,” was an international pop touchstone, appearing in a variety of commercials, TV shows, films, and video games. ∙ Living Thing—their darker, electronic-inspired LP from 2009—was their first Top 10 album in the US, hitting No. 7 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart. ∙ The trio collaborated with Drake on “Let’s Call It Off,” from the Canadian rapper’s 2009 mixtape So Far Gone. ∙ “Second Chance,” from their 2011 LP, Gimme Some, was chosen as the opening theme song for the Emmy-winning sitcom 2 Broke Girls. ∙ They took a highly collaborative approach for 2016’s modern pop LP Breakin’ Point, working with producers Greg Kurstin (Adela, Beck), Emile Haynie (Lana Del Rey, Kanye West), and others. ∙ Ahead of 2020’s Endless Dream, the band unveiled six prerelease singles via interconnected music videos that culminated into a larger, cohesive cinematic piece.
