About Pearson Sound

London-based producer David Sullivan entered the dubstep scene as Ramadanman, originally releasing material on his eponymous label, and subsequently co-founding Hessle Audio. Sullivan debuted Pearson Sound with 12"s that showed more influence of house, garage, and footwork. His Fabriclive 56 mix was credited to Ramadanman and Pearson Sound, but most subsequent releases were under the latter moniker. A 12" contained remixes of tracks by Baltimore club producer Rod Lee and "Little" Louie Vega's Hardrive, and pushed the project into a more breakbeat-heavy style. Sullivan collaborated with Joy Orbison and Boddika on a 12" and launched the Pearson Sound label with releases that continued to push his bass-heavy sound into more experimental directions. A self-titled album appeared on Hessle in 2015. ~ Paul Simpson
