About Pavel Steidl
Guitarist Pavel Steidl is noted for a distinctive performance style that includes expressive gestures with the hands, face, and body. Also a composer, he has a large repertory and sometimes plays 19th century period instruments. Steidl made his recording debut in 1993 with the album Guitar: Music of the 18th and 19th Centuries. Five years later, he issued an album of music by Luigi Legnani. In 2014, he issued the album ...A ty taky jdi do Ithaky...; that album included the Homage à Jimi Hendrix, Op. 52, as well as the title track, composed by Steidl himself. In 2023, Steidl returned on the duo album Mozart, Haydn, Schubert with Edin Karamazov.
