About Paty Cantú
Paty Cantú is a Mexican pop/rock singer who rose to fame as the lead singer of the Latin pop duo Lu in 2004 before embarking on a popular solo career a few years later. Spawning the chart-topping smash hit "Por Besarte," Lu released just two albums before splitting up in 2007 and Cantú promptly embarked on a solo career, making her debut in 2008 with the Top Ten hit single "Déjame Ir." The song "Dos Palabras," a collaboration with the Mexican heavy metal band Motel, followed, and both songs became popular on the Latin music television channels MTV and Telehit. Cantú's solo album debut in 2009, Me Quedo Sola, reached number three on the Mexican charts and included the follow-up single "No Fue Suficiente." ~ Jason Birchmeier
