About Octávio Deluchi

Like every other kid in my town, I participated in carnival percussion groups and music festivals in the area, taking every lesson I could get. Because of that, my first instrument was the drums! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brasil Guitar Duo, Bom Partido Chico Science, Nação Zumbi, Da Lama ao Caos Milton Nascimento, Milton Nascimento These artists deliver a very passionate, decisive, and strong statement about the music from their surrounding. They represent different aspects of my musical path, and are incredibly rich in their nuances of Brazilianess, which I love! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bate-Coxa” This piece made me reconnect to the Brazilian guitar! It wasn't until 2023 that I started to look more deeply to the repertoire from my place, and I fell in love right away when I first played Bate-Coxa. It felt coming back home after so many years! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My 2022 Brazil tour was remarkable because if feature a comeback to my country after a tour in the U.S. that marked my debut at the Carnegie Hall. In addition, over 35 days, I've had concerts, recordings, interviews, teaching, travel, and more! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My dream is to create a festival in my hometown that will feature all the artists that I admire, alongside friends to be able to perform with!
