In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember playing the keyboard and singing my first song "waggy wo" at the age of 2 or 3, haha. I also remember being driven home from school by uncles and I'd peep the playlist every time and try to write my own versions when I got home. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? A Tribe Called Quest, The Low End Theory Mick Jenkins, The Patience Robert Glasper Experiment, Black Radio The amalgamation of matter/message, lyricism, musicality, vibe, sonic pleasure, afterthought and curation is just CHEFS KISS. I've been listening to these back to back for years & I stay heavily inspired daily. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “MIDST” I wrote this in a frustrated place and thought I wasn't getting over that writing block...but I realized that the creation will always come back to the creator and that's what really held me down & it's what I wrote about. Never forget. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being told that one of my songs saved someone from taking their own life. Also, meeting some of my musical inspirations such as Mick Jenkins, Robert Glasper, Tyler The Creator, Common, Earl Sweatshirt, Tom Misch, Phony Ppl & more Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To collaborate with all of my inspirations and inspire them too. To be the reason why somebody decides to start creating music. To win a grammy...or two. To perform on the biggest & most impactful platforms.
