In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Recording Twisted Old Fray (our latest release) took two years. So many things happened over those two years, but we perserved and we are very happy with the result. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jerry Garcia Band, Jerry Garcia Band (Live) Little Feat, Waiting for Columbus - Deluxe Edition (Live) My Morning Jacket, It Still Moves Love all 3 records for different reasons, but I feel like Jacket's It Still Moves revitalized song-focused rock, while Garcia's 19 and Feat's Columbus are perfect encapsulations of music at their best: live, raw, and energetic, with warts and all. Tell us why you chose this song. “Summer Song” North Village Band's Summer Song is close to me because I wrote it 20 years ago, and it's survived the test of time. 2 other previous bands rejected the song when it came to recording it, and for me, I never gave up on it, and it never gave up on me. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The day we started North Village Band was one for the ages. We were hanging out after a Last Waltz rehearsal with a tribute band we formed, and I showed some of the guys a song I'd written. They loved it and we decided to start a band based on it. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Probably to reach a wider audience and continue to release music every few months over the next 3-4 years. A European tour and a residency in Japan would be major bucket list items.
