In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My parents were both pianists, and met at music college. As a child I would listen to my mother practicing amazing classical pieces (Chopin, Beethoven, Schumann etc), and wanted to be able to play like her. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Maki Namekawa, Philip Glass: The Complete Piano Etudes Superb example of neoclassical piano music. I have appreciated Glass' minimalist compositions in the past, but grew out of them. The Etudes rekindled my interest in his work. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Crossings” This piece has been performed and recorded by numerous guitarists. And is one of my favorites in the guitar + live electronics medium. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring Argentina. Touring Japan. Performance at the National Gallery in Washington DC. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Wider recognition of my music. Commissions from soloists and ensembles.
