In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was around eight years old, my family and I went to the Army and Navy Club in D.C. There was a pianist who played in the dining room and he let me play a piece from my first piano practice book on the grand piano. It was my first public show. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Grateful Dead, American Beauty Remastered Linda Ronstadt, Heart Like a Wheel (2013 Remaster) The Doobie Brothers, Livin' On the Fault Line (Remastered) Upon first moving to LA, I listened to "American Beauty" on repeat. Gorgeous songwriting. "Heart Like A Wheel" showcases's Ronstadt's incredible singular voice (and her art of making a song her own). "Fault Line" is a masterclass in musicianship. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “OSLO” My first released track on streaming services! I composed it to accompany a video I took on a train in Oslo, Norway while living abroad in 2023. It showcases my jazz improv skills as well as my ability to write fun, energetic melodies. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? While getting my master's degree at the University of Edinburgh, I composed the score for the folk horror short "The Angler". For this, I recorded a string ensemble live in Reid Concert Hall. I got to conduct to picture. Such an incredible feeling. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Of course! I am currently writing a number of original folk songs and I want to record an EP to showcase the folk side of me. I'm looking to perform live in LA soon too. Another goal of mine is to score my first feature film soon.
