About NASAYA

Nasaya is the professional name for Los Angeles-based composer, electronicist/multi-instrumentalist, and producer Theo Hoarau. His sound signature draws inspiration from jazz, experimental dance music, hip-hop, soul, indie psychedelic pop, and classic rock. He melds abstract electronic sounds and textures with fluid beats, moody, sometimes tense atmospheres, and subtle but catchy melodies. His first singles, "Milk" and "Snow," were 2017 collaborations with Thai-American actress-vocalist Myra Molloy. In 2018 he issued "Orange" with Hong Kong-based singer-songwriter cehryl, and the following year, he broke out with "Patterns" featuring singer-songwriter Sara Diamond. "Midnight Purple," with Portuguese artist Maro, followed. They re-teamed for 2021's Pirilampo EP. Nasaya issued the solo EP RÊVES in 2022; he re-released it the following year as a double-disc set featuring remixes by handpicked artists.
