About Nana Mizuki

J-Pop artist Nana Mizuki, who has voiced characters for more than 200 anime series, films, and video games, is the first voice artist to score a No.1 album and single on Japan’s Pop charts. ∙ Used as the opening theme for the anime series Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, her 2004 single “Innocent Starter” was the first of her nearly 30 Top 10 hits. ∙ “Justice to Believe,” her theme song for the video game Wild Arms 5, won Best Musical Performance honors at the voiceover industry’s 2007 Seiyu Awards. ∙ Mizuki has performed six times on the Kōhaku Uta Gassen New Year’s Eve special, debuting in 2009 with “Shinai,” from her No. 1 album Ultimate Diamond. ∙ Thanks to voiceover work in such acclaimed anime series as Naruto and Heartcatch Precure!, she was named Animation Artist of the Year at 2011’s Billboard Japan Music Awards. ∙ In a rare feat for a voice artist, she was recognized for her contributions to the entertainment field with the Japanese government’s MEXT Art Encouragement Prize in 2017.
