Naima Bock

Naima Bock's songs draw from Brazilian music and folk, but most of all from the communal nature of music itself. Though she was already an expert at blending genres into something fresh thanks to her time with Goat Girl, the buoyant mix of jazz, electronic, acoustic, and classical influences on 2022's lush yet confiding debut album Giant Palm still marked new territory for the singer/songwriter. Even when Bock gave her music a grander scope on 2024's Below a Massive Dark Land, she retained its confessional intimacy.
