Understanding that you can shift a listener's mood depending on how you bring those chords together was one of the most eye-opening experiences I've ever had about music. Broken Social Scene, Broken Social Scene Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Jon Brion, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture) Joanna Newsom, Have One On Me Newsom's profound songwriting gave me a deeper perspective with each listen. Jon Brion's score for the Eternal Sunshine film taught me the value of tying music to a visual format. Broken Social Scene's experimental songs was pivotal in my growth. Tell us why you chose this song. “Company” The song was composed for a podcast and I deeply enjoyed writing the separate melodies between the double-tracked acoustic guitars, and the electric lead that's drenched with the effect of an organ pedal.
