About Mudvayne
Theatrically flamboyant metal band Mudvayne formed in Peoria, Illinois, in 1996, and while not officially disbanded, they have been on hiatus since 2010. ∙ Mudvayne’s self-financed and -distributed debut EP, Kill, I Oughtta, was released in 1997 and subsequently reissued with bonus tracks after they signed with a major label. ∙ The juggalo-meets-GWAR video for their Gold-certified single “Dig” won the first-ever MTV2 Award in 2001. ∙ Lost and Found, Mudvayne’s third consecutive Gold album, reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2005 and was their only disc to crack the Top 10. ∙ Named the No. 1 Headbangers Ball video of 2005, “Happy?” was also chosen as the theme song for that year’s WWE Vengeance pay-per-view event. ∙ “Determined,” their thrash-metal anthem from Lost and Found, was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 2005 Grammy Awards.
