In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Around my grandma’s kitchen table there was always singing—that’s where I got my taste for singing. Then, as a teen, my passion for music was empowered by listening to Orff’s Carmina Burana and, later, Queen’s News of the World—both at full volume! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Loreena McKennitt, The Visit Queen, Queen Forever (Deluxe Edition) Sequentia, 900 Years Hildegard von Bingen I love Sequentia’s strive for perfection; McKennitt’s melancholy; and Freddy Mercury’s singing of every note—with all his heart and all his soul! I never get tired of listening to them, again and again. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Eight Verses to Dissolve All Fears” I wished to share first this piece, a rendition of the ancient Sanskrit hymn, the Chandrashekharashtakam—said to protect against fear of death—because I believe my health and ability to make music today is inextricably intertwined with it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? After 5 years fighting chronic illness, in 2025, I’m making a comeback, sharing the music-force that carries me forth. As a life warrior, I feel energized to celebrate with my music the brief moments and connections that make life worth fighting for. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Between 2025–26 I plan on producing and releasing a dozen tracks! And, while many of my top musical heroes are no longer with us, with the living I’d love to work on at least one song: one with Loreena McKennitt, another one with Yusuf/Cat Stevens.
