Monique Leyrac, born in 1928, performed on stage and screen before she began to record her songs in the early '60s. Her more than ten albums since 1963 include Monique Leyrac Chante Vigneault et Leveillee (1963), Monique Leyrac en Concert (1965), Monique Leyrac (1967), Beautiful Morning (1968), Les Grands Succes de Monique Leyrac (1971; her greatest hits), Monique Leyrac Chante Nelligan (1975) and Monique Leyrac Chante Felix Leclerc (1977). ~ John Bush
