About Modern Talking
German dance-pop duo Modern Talking were formed in Berlin in 1983 by Dieter Bohlen and vocalist Thomas Anders. Their first single, "You're My Heart, You're My Soul," arrived in 1984, followed a year later by their debut LP, The 1st Album. Sophomore album Let's Talk About Love appeared in late 1985, launching the smash "Cheri Cheri Lady," and with 1986's Ready for Romance, Modern Talking scored their biggest hit yet with "Brother Louie." They disbanded in 1987 after three more albums, but reunited from 1997-2003 for more success, including German number two "TV Makes the Superstar." ~ Jason Ankeny
