In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Starting to work with computers and recording things directly I was amazed to learn how you can work with sound. That opened up a whole new universe that we fully use at mockART. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Current 93, The Inmost Light Nurse With Wound, Salt Marie Celeste Throbbing Gristle, Heathen Earth - The Live Sound of Throbbing Gristle (Remastered) On Heathen Earth, TG work with sound and energy in an incredible way like they never did before. Salt Marie is an amazing work of minimalist music. On Inmost Light, C93 start to out with melodic folk tunes that become more and more experimental. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “La Bête Noire” La Bête Noire was one of the early tracks by mockART. What we like about the track is that it creates an incredible darkish atmosphere with minimal elements and therefore shows that arrangement can be the key to many great tracks. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Creating and playing our first live performance after existing for nearly 20 years. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Having started to play live after so many years, bridging the sound of studio recordings and live performance is an interesting challenge that we want to continue to work on in the future by playing more live and translating studio to live sounds.
