Japanese actor and solo musician MIYAVI is a former member of the visual kei rock band Dué le Quartz and a guitarist known for his intricate technique.

∙ At the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards, MIYAVI was nominated for Best Japan Act.
∙ He’s been nominated for several honors at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan, winning Best Collaboration Video in 2013 for the YUKSEK-featuring “Day 1.”
∙ MIYAVI wrote Japanese boy band SMAP’s 2014 electro-rock single “Top of the World,” which hit No. 1 on Japan’s Oricon singles chart.
∙ Three of his studio LPs have been Top 10 hits in Japan, including 2015’s The Others, coproduced by Grammy winners Drew Ramsey and Shannon Sanders.
∙ In addition to his solo career and time Dué le Quartz, MIYAVI performed in the visual kei rock supergroup S.K.I.N., alongside X JAPAN’S YOSHIKI and LUNA SEA’s SUGIZO.
