In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My father brought me to Walton's Music Store where I fell in love with a red sparkle drum kit. I wound up with a red piano accordion! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Imperial Bedroom Peter Gabriel, I/O Bright-Side and Dark-Side Mixes Tom Waits, Closing Time (Remastered) Closing Time is songwriting gold with great arrangements and an atmosphere that sent my soul into another space. Peter Gabriel hangs with the same band as from So and makes just as killer an album. Elvis made Imperial Bedroom magical, murky and sharp Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sámh” This song was gifted me after reading my father's diary account of the little girl who died in their field, clutching a clump of watercress during the Great Irish Famine. I felt her spirit and that of the Choctaw Nation with me as I worked. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I am lucky to have experienced some special moments but perhaps the most memorable are the quiet magical times when my music has reached out in either times of joy or heartbreak, and I know my purpose on this earth has meaning. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to co-write with these three amazing artists. Billie Eilish, Declan O Rourke, Randy Newman. There are others too! Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello, Mary J Blige and so on! I would also love to write a movie score.....
