In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I released my first solo EP called "For The Culture" it was the beginning of a journey where this EP would open many doors for me. It was inspired by my visit to Brazil and Funk Carioca What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Black Coffee, Home Brewed Fela Kuti, Afrodisiac Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi, Paivepo These legendary releases from African legends shaped the way I listen to music and how I produce. Idris Lawal & NEFE)” This song was released during the pandemic and was well received. It was the first song I had to create remotely, having not met the artists for the first time until after the pandemic. it symbolized resilience, and that music transcends borders What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring and playing some of my biggest shows and festivals in Brazil, including having a huge lineup of shows and festivals in Canada Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To produce a full length studio album and tour the world and share my culture and musical heritage, and learn from all the beautiful people along the way!
