Maximum Friction

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Back in 2018, the lead singer and bassist Jasmine Marchi formed the band Maximum Friction, striving to use her musical abilities to share music with others. Fast forward to February of 2021, she met the guitarist, Jaden Garcia, and the image was made What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath Megadeth, Greatest Hits: Back to the Start The Warning, Keep Me Fed Black Sabbath was the album that really connected me with the heavier genre. In the summer of 2020, I learned the whole album, says Jasmine. Megadeth and Metallica were the covers I first performed in the band. The Warning helped me with my image. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Overload” This song shows what happens when we don't limit ourselves musically. I allowed myself to make the main riff heavy, then get really "calm" with the vocal melody. In terms of lyrics, I feel it resonates with those who may feel like the only one. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? As a band, we've opened for many memorable people, including Joey Belladonna from Anthrax, Nico McBrain from Iron Maiden, and Plush. We also played on an MSC cruise to Mexico, which was a new experience for us. Jasmine's Thailand trip was memorable. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We are reaching for "the stars," essentially. Our goal is to make impactful music that resonates with large groups of people, and we hope to be able to share it with as many as possible.
