Matthew Fitzgibbons

About Matthew Fitzgibbons

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My father sometimes played big band records when I was a toddler. I’d gather the waste paper cans in the house, flip them over, and drum along using Lincoln Logs. I didn’t know it yet, but that was the beginning of my musical journey. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bad Company, Bad Company Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here Rush, 2112 (Remastered 2012) Rush’s 2112 is a progressive rock masterpiece and an anthem of individualism warning against collectivism. Wish You Were Here paints a psychedelic musical landscape and Bad Company is American classic rock at its raw, emotional best. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Angels in White” Angels in White” was written at a friend’s request to honor his late wife, who was a nurse. It became a broader tribute to the compassion and sacrifice of nurses everywhere, released just before the pandemic made that message even more timely. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Collaborations, interviews, and live shows have been amazing, but nothing compares to hearing from people who say my music changed their life. In tough times, that’s what reminds me why I do this. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Oh yeah! I’ve got a big bucket! But seriously, the world of music is a never-ending journey. As long as I can keep learning, creating, and helping others, I’ll count myself lucky.
