Matteo Vallicelli

Matteo Vallicelli is a Berlin-based Italian musician who produces tense, eerie ambient and minimal synth compositions. Vallicelli originally made his name as a part of Rome's underground punk scene, drumming for numerous bands including Smart Cops and Wildmen. In 2013, he moved to the Kreuzberg district of Berlin and began experimenting with electronic instruments and computer editing. He toured as the drummer for the Soft Moon and Death Index, but he continued to develop his solo electronic sound. In 2017, Captured Tracks (also home to the Soft Moon) released Vallicelli's debut solo LP Primo. ~ Paul Simpson
