Matt Boswell

Matt Boswell is a CCM singer, songwriter, pastor, and worship leader who has served at various Texas-based churches since the late 1990s. Mixing together warm country and alt-rock tones, he is known for his series of Messenger Hymns EPs and albums like 2010's Gravity and Gladness and the 2019 collaboration with Matt Papa, His Mercy Is More. He is also the author of the book, Doxology & Theology. A graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Boswell served as Pastor of Ministries and Worship at Frisco, Texas' Providence Church. He released his debut album, Enter In, in 2005. Another album, Gravity and Gladness appeared in 2010, followed two years later by the Messenger Hymns, Vol. 1 EP. He founded the theological community Doxology & Theology, and in 2013 published a book of the same name. Several more volumes of the Messenger Hymns EP series arrived over the next several years and in 2018, Boswell founded the Trails Church, also in Frisco. His Mercy Is More, a 2019 collaborative album with fellow worship singer/songwriter Matt Papa, reached number four on the Billboard's Christian chart upon its release. ~ Timothy Monger
