In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My very first concert was in a completely different genre. I wish I still had that Iron Maiden concert shirt! The energy, musicianship, writing, lyrics and narratives of this band are special and unique. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? King Crimson, Discipline (Expanded Edition) Peter Gabriel, Secret World Live Ulrich Schnauss, Far Away Trains Passing By These releases start to capture the diversity of my interests, from world, to pop, to electronic to progressive rock. My prolific approach (hopefully) captures influences from many many places, and this is a big part of what makes music so exciting. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Power of the Beast” This song was what started the rediscovery and continuation of my celtic and world roots from when I was the drummer in a celtic rock band in Seattle. It is exciting to be the full composer of all the tracks, a big shift from solely drumming. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It has been very exciting to finally work in a midi-based environment with all it has to offer, supporting releases that sound the way I want them to sound. As soon as I made the switch, so many doors were opened for this new genre of mine. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I am working on adding my vocals to some of my tracks in upcoming releases. As a multi-instrumentalist, it's an important facet of my musical background.
