In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a teenager I was a huge fan of John Denver. When an old, beat-up Barclay guitar was accidentally left at my house by an out-of-town guest, I hide it away and taught myself to play while listening to Denver’s music.
