In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I will never forget day I discovered my big sister's copy of "Is This It?" by the Strokes. The seedy scruffy oddly beautiful voice that came out of the CD player- it changed my life! I wouldn't be the musician I am today without that album. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lorde, Solar Power Lucinda Williams, Car Wheels On a Gravel Road Mazzy Star, She Hangs Brightly When I hear these songs I want to go for a long drive or pick up my guitar and start writing more songs. I feel very connected to Lorde's deep emotionality, to Lucinda's raw beauty, and the beautifully mysterious aura of Hope Sandoval/Mazzy Star. Tell us why you chose this song. “Hot Moon” I wrote this about a time in my life when I was adrift, spending my days driving around LA & housesitting in the Hollywood hills. LA is so big & lonely yet it's also my home & I wouldn't trade it for the world. This song is about that contradiction.
