About Marie Davidson

A solo artist and one-half of Essaie Pas, Marie Davidson creates cold, hypnotic minimal wave showcasing her intimate yet detached lyrics that are spoken more than sung. Davidson first became known for her work with Xarah Dion as Les Momies de Palerme, and was also part of Land of Kush. She formed Essaie Pas with Pierre Guerineau in 2010. Davidson also collaborated with David Kristian as DKMD, debuting with an EP in 2012. That year, Davidson made her solo debut with a self-titled EP and followed it with Perte D'Identité in 2014 and Un Autre Voyage in 2015. In 2016, Essaie Pas released Demain Est Une Autre Nuit, followed by Davidson's solo effort Adieux Au Dancefloor. ~ Paul Simpson
