In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory is in my room listening to the White Stripes, Queens of the Stone Age, and Foo Fighters when I was 12. The songs would play on the radio and I would have a tape ready to record it so I can play my bass along to it. -Matthew What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Perfume Genius, Too Bright Radiohead, In Rainbows The Strokes, Is This It In Rainbows was extremely influential on my later teenage years. - Matthew. Perfume Genius. He’s an inspiration for music that is fragile and warm and honest and strong and dark and beautiful. I always feel different after listening. - Chantel Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bleed Me Out” Bleed Me Out is a song of ours that I really love. I got to see Chantel write the song from nothing to the recorded version and it was an inspiring experience for me. I love her songwriting and she has made me the artist I am today. - Matthew What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We have been playing to the largest crowds yet. They crowds are in it with us, singing the lyrics, and make each night feel special. Our last show had tons of teenagers screaming at Chantel and they just adored her and it was incredible to see. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Touring internationally and taking the new songs to festival stages. We have some things cooking that we'll be able to talk about soon.
