The occult heavy metal side project of Alessandro Nunziati (Lord Vampyr, Cain, ex-Theatres des Vampires), Malamorte emerged in 2009 with a sound steeped in the esthetic of classic Hammer Horror and the sonic deviltry of Mercyful Fate. Debuting in 2014 with The Fall of Babylon, subsequent efforts like Hell for All and Mass Cult Suicide saw the band transition from a more traditional black metal approach to a style that looked to NWOBHM giants like early Judas Priest and Black Sabbath for inspiration.
