A powerful singer who caught her first big break on the 15th season of The Voice, MaKenzie specializes in classic R&B with a stylish modern spin. Initially pursuing a more traditional diva direction after leaving The Voice in 2018--she was carrying the torch of Mariah Carey and Kelly Clarkson--MaKenzie wound up taking a detour into electronic-inflected modern pop that led her to her confident 2024 release A Pretty F*****g Cool EP and its accompanying single "Lips."
