In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my first musical memories was playing on a real stage for the first time. I was 10 years old, and I played bass and sang a Tina Turner song at Schuba's in Chicago. It was so exciting and so real. That was the moment I was hooked on performing. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brandi Carlile, By The Way, I Forgive You Lucinda Williams, Lucinda Williams Patty Griffin, Living with Ghosts Lucinda Williams self titled album was the album that taught me what music was as a kid. Living With Ghosts was the first album I found and obsessed over on my own, and By The Way, I Forgive You taught me a lot about songwriting and production Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Way I Do” The Way I Do is the most important song I've ever written. It connected me to so many of you, and seeing the impact it has had in peoples' lives in a healing and empowering way has been so incredibly meaningful.
