Louis Hayes

About Louis Hayes

Louis Hayes is one of the few jazz drummers who successfully bridged the bop and funk styles that dominated the 1960s jazz era. His tight grooves and flowing fills powered the groups of Cannonball Adderley, Joe Henderson, and John Coltrane. He is one of the many great jazz musicians to come from the rich training ground of Detroit.
