In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I first discovered the power of music during choir practice in elementary school. I began taking guitar lessons at age nine. Rock en Español was a major cultural phenomenon I was instantly hooked after listening to Charly García and Soda Stereo. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Keith Jarrett, La Scala (Live) Live King Crimson, Discipline (Expanded Edition) Soda Stereo, Dynamo Dynamo and Discipline are the most exciting records by these bands—both chameleonic from release to release, boldly diving into the future of songwriting and production. Tell us why you chose this song. “Étude VI” This piece is loosely inspired by “Parabola” (2019’s *En Remolinos*), imagining a future coastal city through a deconstructed 7/4 Colombian cumbia. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The sessions for my latest album, *Códices*, were co-produced by Trey Gunn of King Crimson, whom I have admired for decades. Paradoxically, this solo record has a special quality precisely because of the many people involved in its creation. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes, many are still on the list. My next electric guitar record "Lugares" eng. Places - will be a collaboration with several composers. It will include a string trio + electric guitar piece, as well as a solo electric guitar + loop + samples work.
