About LIZOT

Enormous basslines, platinum synths, and sing-along hooks are the order of the day when LIZOT comes on in the club. Founded in 2013, the project is the solo alias of German producer Max Kleinschmidt, who was previously accompanied by Jan Sievers or Robin Wilhelm. Born in 1987, Kleinschmidt got his start in the mid-2000s under the aliases Manox and Max K, recording bouncy jumpstyle and trance in the groups Bazzpitchers and Mad Flush. But Kleinschmidt’s music took a turn toward more melodic pop-dance terrain on LIZOT’s 2015 single “What Love Can Do,” released on Armin van Buuren’s Armada label. With subsequent songs like “Waking up Alive,” “We Are Young,” and “Menage A Trois,” he continued to tighten his grip on weekend nights everywhere, perfecting a style of turned-up, feel-good anthems that capture the rush of living in the moment.
