About Lil' Red & the Rooster

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I loved singing and tapping along with Bojangles on my little black & white tv and scatting with Louis & Ella. The Rooster was playing classical guitar when he heard BB King's Blues is King and he's been playing the Blues ever since. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? B.B. King, Blues Is King Dinah Washington, The Best In Blues J.B. Lenoir, Passionate Blues I love Dinah's timing. Her voice is authentic, passionate and classy. JB's song writing was ahead of its time. His rhythms and melodies are unique. B.B.'s album Blues is King inspired Pascal's love for the Blues and for that I'm forever grateful. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Santa Baby (Lil' Naughty Mix)” I've always loved the winter holidays. Ertha Kit masterfully sang this song and I grew up singing along. I know it's not an easy time for everyone, so we wanted to spread some good feeling vibes to get those chilly toes tapping. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Recording our last album, Keep On! with Kenny Smith, Felton Crews & Billy Branch! Performing at the Bay Car Blues Festival with Dave Specter & getting to the finals of the International Blues Challenge! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So many things left, but the biggest is to reach as many hearts as possible and open as many minds as possible. The Blues is healing I want to see it heal the world.
